This unit was originally used as a driver amp for an IOT television transmitter. These were pulled from working NTSC transmitters that were decommissioned a few years back. This is a broadband amplifier for low band TV UHF covering channels 14-50. These can be easily modified for use in the ham UHF bands and even lower. RF input and output are standard N connectors. simply apply 28 VDC to the power leads and you are in operation. The ribbon cable that is attached to the unit serves no purpose in operation as it was simply used to send info back to the operating status panel of the transmitter. This unit utilizes 4 SD1490 transistors in parallel. The SD1490 is a dual push pull class A UHF device.
