The text and background are printed into the surface with a process called sublimation. The plates are printed flat not raised. It's not a decal or sticker - the inks "soak" into the special surface and are UV resistant. The colors are vibrant, long lasting and of excellent quality. These are NOVELTY license plates only and can not be used to replace a state issued one. If you look at our listings for Bicycle State License Plates you can see all the plates we have and how they will look. We have all states and some older plates.
