The Federal Bureau of Prisons has three decorations, the Distinguished Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and the Commendable Service Medal. All three of these medals come in two varieties, the civilian version, and the military version. The military version ( this is the version up for sale) is awarded to Public Health Service personnel who provide medical support for the Bureau. The civilian version has the same medallion, but has a neck drape. NOTE TO COLLECTORS: I have been informed by the manufacturer, that DoJ medals are no longer authorized for sale to the public.
