Description: EXCELLENT! DUNHILL RED BARK Gp 3 APPLE You are bidding on a charming Dunhill Apple (shape 107) in the group 3 size. The Red Bark finish had only a limited run of 1972-1986. The bowl displays a strong original color and an even sandblast. The bowl rim is sharp and free of carbon staining. The vulcanite stem is free of tooth marks or scratches. A pipe cleaner slides easily to the bowl. This pipe is a true featherweight, weighing in at only 29 gm. (7/8 oz.) Nomenclature is sharp except for the date code. Since it uses the old 3-digit nomenclature, the pipe probably dates from the early or mid-seventies. It's in great shape for a 50 year old pipe! I have gently cleaned and reamed the pipe and run it with alcohol. It should be good to go out of the box, but as always, final cleaning is left to the new owner.
