Description: An antique HB Quimper bud vase hand painted with a nicely detailed petit Breton on the vase neck, a floral motif flanked by ermine tails on the body, and a geometric design on the shoulder. Marked HB Quimper below the Breton and on the base underside, this piece dates anywhere from 1904 - 1942. In excellent antique condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs identified. There are several areas of glaze crawling around the bottom edge and a few pinpoint examples scattered across the body which originate from the hand and wood fired kiln production process.
