Boston, c 1850 The intense green Sauce Tureen made in England, circa 1850 sold thru the fine Boston retailer Richard Briggs It is painted with broad bands of intense green. The details of the tureen are superb. The handles are in the form of leaf branches with leaf form terminals. The tureen has golden floral decoration on a white ground. The gilding glistens. Measures 8-1/2” across x 4-3/8” h. No chips or cracks. No stains.
