Comes from Sonnenberg region of Germany, Circa 1880's Porcelain socket head on Chevrot kid body; with repairs - showing the history of this glorious lady.(This dates the body after 1883) = Body is antique replacement.Fun Fact: (Could date the body replacement 1937-1941) The metal button inside the head that attaches head to body, is an Oklahoma consumer tax token issued with the value of 1/2 penny to keep elderly people from being overcharged with sales tax; Old Age Consumer Tax - discontinued in 1961. The gusseted body shows knees and full fanny. Tiny toes are slightly defined. Done in a French-look-alike manner.See images for some history and documentation.Goat skin wig (hand sewn) with * very fragile pate.* Hairline on forehead that has to be seen under magnification; over her right eye. Pierced ears. Over cut paper weight eyes; antique replacements. Original eyes were brown.Has eye liner. Her brows resemble French fashion poupe Closed mouth with open smile, full cheeks. Face paint is still beautiful; lashes are well done.(Makeup shows resemblance to Bahr & Proschild product.
