Description: Very Nice Griswold No. 8, Pattern Number 777, Small Block Logo, deep cast iron skillet/chicken fryer. Made in Erie, Pennsylvania by the Griswold Manufacturing Company from 1950-1957. CONDITION: Skillet is in very good vintage condition. Skillet has subtle tic/wobble at the 10 o'clock position when pushed hard corrected by 1 index card, but otherwise sits flat on hard smooth granite countertop. Cooking surface is smooth with light wear and some very minor micro pitting which will fill in with seasoning with use. Lines on logo and numbering are clean and clear. Skillet does not spin, has no cracks, rust, or repairs. RESTORATION: This vintage piece of cast iron has been carefully cleaned to bare iron using a combination of electrolysis, lye, and vinegar.
