Clamp can be positioned in relation to adapter plate in 90 degree increments to make it convenient for everybody. It is the best quick release system for tripods and monopods. International standard dove-tail clamp, compatible with Arca-Swiss type quick release plates I would suggest to purchase gear head before placing order for adapter plate and compare maunting pattern with your head.
