Description: These units are from a SK and have been off the air for years. We were told all were working at the time of removal. We have tested the amplifier using a HF transceiver, power meter (2kw setting), and dummy load (see final 5 pictures). Yes, we read the manual prior to testing. According to our external meter (not calibrated but when we used it with the HF xcvr in the 200W setting the numbers were close) it puts out around 500W on each band setting, however the amplifiers meter was reading about 300W at the same time. We adjusted drive levels on each band and they varied between 25-65W before the amplifiers protection would shut it off. We did not connect the ALC control for these tests. We checked the Vc setting and found the voltage would dip about 5V or more when the amp was near max input drive. The amp can likely put out more power but our outlet was being maxed out, the manual says it needs 14A and we had multiple devices plugged into the same outlet. We suspect the Ic protector was triggered once output power was driven high enough yet Vc dropped before max RF output power was hit. We limited tests to 10s to protect the dummy load. CW mode was used for all tests. We are not able to test the antenna tuner but it is in good condition and powers up. Please be aware that due to the age of these they may need some calibration/service to function 100%. The manual discusses some of that and we did not attempt to make any changes to internal settings. All 3 Icom units are included in the sale plus connection cables as shown. The manual is available online. All units will be packed well for shipping. If you have any questions please let us know.
