The front of the four-armed Maltese cross shows a King’s crown on the upper arm with a ‘W’ in the center. The lower arm is dated ‘1914’. The reverse side is hand engraved that reads ‘Hauptm. W. Zdstrov H.R. 8’. Has a wide vertical pin back with a ‘c’ catch. There is a maker's mark at the base that reads ‘KO’. Three-piece die struck nickel construction with a magnetic center. Awarded for gallantry in combat action. Excellent condition.
