Description: First edition, second printing (before publication) hardcover copy of Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice (Alfred A. Knopf, 1977). A very hard to find early printing of this, the first edition of the first novel in Rice’s beloved paranormal romance / fantasy / horror series, The Vampire Chronicles. This printing made before the release of the first printing due to anticipated demand. Jacket is protected in mylar sleeve but previously experienced some scuffing/scratches and shelf wear around the edges. Small tears to jacket spine near title/author. Boards are straight and clean but corners and spine ends are bumped. Binding is tight, spine is straight and all pages are clean and unmarked save for some slight discoloration to rear endpaper where publisher’s red stain to top edge of text block bled through.
