The ridges help show off the glaze which breaks over the edges revealing earthy-color speckles. The four corner of the plate are the high points on the lip. This piece is in good condition with no damage and gentle wear mostly shelf wear (visible in reflected light, photograph 3). The plate is impressed for Jars France on the bottom Approximate Measurements9 3/4" square 1 3/8" at highest
