Our selling price is based on our investment to acquire a working NRD-545 receiver to obtain the parts and also the relative scarcity of this replacement board. Yes, the cost of this board is not cheap. However, there are only 5 main boards inside the 545 receiver and not every board is susceptible to failure and so our selling price reflects the cost to acquire and recover the cost of parting out the receiver knowing that a couple of these boards may never sell at any price. The board was verified to be perfectly operational prior to removal from the receiver. If you have a defective board, this will repair the problem. But please be aware that sometimes a problem can be on one board triggering an issue with second board and so we ask that you please verify that this is the problem board before purchase.
