Description: Up today we have a sweet Kaman GTX 33 "George Lynch" Purple Tiger. These guitars where made in Korea in the late 80's, early 90's. This one has a non original neck, and left handed, non branded tuners. The neck is smooth, thin, and perfect for shredding! The locking nut has been shimmed to allow for proper string height as the nut. One screw has broken off, that holds the b string tuner is place. Tuner stays in place just fine. The pickups have been replaced at some point. The neck appears to be original, and the middle pickup looks to be a fender single coil. Not sure if bridge pickup is original or not. Guitar has a 5 way blade switch, a single volume, single tone, and a mini toggle. The mini toggle, was originally use to split the bridge pickup, isn't currently hooked up, so it does nothing. Guitar does have the original Takeuchi Made in Japan Tremolo, which is a very nice floyd rose copy. Very heavy duty, not like the chinese pot metal variations today. There is a small crack at the base of one of the bridge posts. I've whammied the crap outta this thing, and it does not flex or open what so ever. Looks to be just in the paint. Judging by the color of the crack, it's been that way along time, maybe even when it was first made. Guitar also has 2 screws on the front of the body. Those where there when I got it, maybe someone had a Roland Synth pickup installed at one point? Guitar plays good as is, I did notice some fret buzz at some places, so it could use a setup and/or fretwork to get it to a perfect action. As is, it is playable and quit enjoyable. Does not come with a whammy bar or the back plate. For more info, please review the condition description and pics.
