Description: “Body of Evidence” is the second of a series with the protagonist being a Medical Examiner in Richmond. She seems, thus far, to have one main professional cohort, a police lieutenant, who is slightly rough around the edges. They are sometimes antagonists but also cooperate with each other. It makes for interesting chemistry. This particular story had me guessing. I was often surprised. I found the book very readable. As I often do, I purchased both and audiobook and kindle reading copy. Mostly I could easily follow the story strictly by listening. I read alone and the kindle copy and the audiobook are essentially identical. There is a very intense conversation between the protagonist and a young man who has serious psychological problems. I found that conversation gripping. As a former homicide investigator, that was probably my personal favorite part of the novel. ( customer review)
