Description: A Rear Brake Pump Repair Kit for the KTM Adventure 950-990. You have to replace the two seals of the old piston and re-use it with the new seals, spring, circlip and bellow, following closely the detailed fitting instructions. Follow our Facebook page : "Alex Farmers KTM INVENTIONS". ================================ THE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS IN ENGLISH, GREEK, ITALIAN, FRENCH AND JAPANESE LANGUAGE : REAR BRAKE PUMP REPAIR KIT FITTING INSTRUCTIONS : Remove the pump from the frame. Place it upside down on a vice, wrapped in a cloth to avoid scratching it. With special circlip pliers remove the circlip, the pushrod and the piston from the pump. Remove the spring from the piston with a strong pull. Take a picture of the piston to have as reference for the correct direction during reassembly. Remove the tiny circlip and the upper seal with the tiny copper washer. Push the lower seal with your two fingers to make room for a small flat screwdriver to slip underneath it and carefully remove it, taking care NOT to scratch the smooth surface of the piston! Use a smear of brake fluid to fit the two new seals in the correct direction, the tiny copper washer, the tiny circlip and the spring on the piston. 950s have a washer and a ball headed pushrod. 990s after 2006 have no washer and a straight headed pushrod. Use a smear of brake fluid to carefully push the piston back into the pump, spring first. Keep the piston pushed halfway down by pushing the pushrod with the one hand. With the other hand secure the circlip in the groove using the circlip pliers. Install the pump on the bike and fill it with DOT 5.1 brake fluid. WARNING! As the pump can reach 120C+ due to the nearby exhaust, to avoid hydraulic pressure damage from brake fluid expansion, fill it with DOT 5.1 brake fluid 1cm BELOW the max line inside the pump. ---------------------------------------------- : . , . , . . . . , ! , , . , . 950 . 990 2006 . . . DOT 5.1. ! 1cm , , 120C+ . --------------------------------------------- ISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIO DEL KIT DI RIPARAZIONE DELLA POMPA DEL FRENO POSTERIORE : Rimuovere la pompa dal telaio. Con le apposite pinze per anelli elastici, rimuovere l'anello elastico, l'asta di spinta e il pistone dalla pompa. Rimuovere la molla dal pistone con una forte trazione. Scattare una foto del pistone per avere un riferimento per la direzione corretta durante il rimontaggio. Rimuovere il piccolo anello elastico e la guarnizione superiore con la piccola rondella in rame. Spingere la guarnizione inferiore con due dita per fare spazio a un piccolo cacciavite piatto per scivolare sotto di essa e rimuoverla con attenzione, facendo attenzione a NON graffiare la superficie liscia del pistone! Utilizzare una macchia di liquido freni per montare le due nuove guarnizioni nella direzione corretta, la piccola rondella in rame, il piccolo anello elastico e la molla sul pistone. Le 950 hanno una rondella e un'asta di spinta con testa sferica. Le 990 dopo il 2006 non hanno rondella e un'asta di spinta con testa dritta. Utilizzare una macchia di liquido freni per spingere con attenzione il pistone nella pompa, prima la molla. Posizionare la pompa capovolta su una morsa avvolta in un panno, per evitare di graffiarla. Mantenere il pistone premuto a met spingendo l'asta di spinta con una mano. Con l'altra mano fissare l'anello elastico nella scanalatura utilizzando le pinze per anelli elastici. Installare la pompa sulla moto e riempirla con liquido freni DOT 5.1. ATTENZIONE! Riempire fino a 1 cm SOTTO il segno di livello massimo all'interno della pompa per evitare danni dovuti all'elevata pressione idraulica all'interno della pompa dovuta all'espansione del liquido freni, poich la pompa pu raggiungere i 120C+ a causa dello scarico nelle vicinanze. ================================ INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE KIT POMPE DE FREIN ARRIRE : Retirez la pompe du cadre. Placez-le l'envers sur un tau, envelopp dans un linge pour viter de le rayer. Avec une pince circlips spciale, retirez le circlip, la tige de pousse et le piston de la pompe. Retirez le ressort du piston en tirant fortement. Prendre une photo du piston pour avoir comme rfrence le bon sens lors du remontage. Retirez le petit circlip et le joint suprieur avec la petite rondelle en cuivre. Poussez le joint infrieur avec vos deux doigts pour laisser la place un petit tournevis plat qui se glissera en dessous et retirez-le dlicatement en prenant soin de NE PAS rayer la surface lisse du piston ! Utilisez un peu de liquide de frein pour remettre dans le bon sens les deux nouveaux joints, la petite rondelle en cuivre, le petit circlip et le ressort sur le piston. Les 950 ont une rondelle et une tige de pousse tte sphrique. Les 990 aprs 2006 n'ont pas de rondelle ni de tige de pousse tte droite. Utilisez un peu de liquide de frein pour repousser dlicatement le piston dans la pompe, le ressort en premier. Maintenez le piston pouss mi-course en poussant la tige de pousse d'une main. De l'autre main fixez le circlip dans la rainure l'aide de la pince circlips. Installez la pompe sur le vlo et remplissez-la de liquide de frein DOT 5.1. AVERTISSEMENT! Comme la pompe peut atteindre 120C+ en raison de l'chappement proximit, pour viter les dommages la pression hydraulique dus l'expansion du liquide de frein, remplissez-la de liquide de frein DOT 5.1 1 cm EN DESSOUS de la ligne maximale l'intrieur de la pompe. ================================ : 2 1cm DOT 5.1 120
