Description: This stunning lead crystal Lalique vase #909 Bluets- which translates as Cornflowers- was originally designed in 1914, likely after World War One was declared. Cornflowers are blue, the first color on the French flag, and came symbolize the fallen French Soldiers, similarly to Poppies in America and the UK- no doubt a lasting design tribute to his country and the war efforts of the age. This vase measures approximately 7.25" across the top x almost 3" across the base x 6.25" tall. The vase is free of any chips, cracks, water damage, or repairs. The vase is beautifully marked as seen in the fifth photograph. The body of the vase is clear with the intaglio carved flowers feature the classic satin finish. The vase rings beautifully when tapped. Please review all photographs and the entire written description. I am happy to answer ANY questions prior to purchasing, and will provide additional images upon request. BEST on eBay! 100% Positive Feedback to date! I pack well, and have lots of experience shipping fine crystal.
