Description: The blue candle/blue myrtle cactus (Myrtillocactus Geometrizans) exhibits a uniform, candelabra-like appearance on mature plants. Native to Mexico, older outdoor specimens can reach up to 16 feet tall. It is an attractive addition to any drought-tolerant and low maintenance garden. Branches for sale are approximately 15 inches long and will come from the mother plant shown in this ad. Plants will be shipped unpotted and with no soil. Also note that branches will only be removed from the mother plant once order has been placed, and so they will have not yet have developed roots by the time of delivery. Upon receipt, plant in well-draining media such as equal parts peat moss and/or perlite/sand. Pre-mixed succulent/cactus gardening soil from local nurseries can be acceptable. Promote strong and healthy growth by giving plants bright direct light averaging 6 hours daily. Once plants are established, water whenever topsoil appears dry.
