Description: Very Good condition slipcased leather hardcover copy of Sir Gawain and The Green Knight, translated by Gwyn Jones, illustrated in six color plates by Dorothea Braby. Limited Edition #24 of only 60 specially-bound copies made! Published 1952 by The Golden Cockerel Press, London. Features inlaid morocco leather binding and gold lettering on spine. Binding is sound and pages are unmarked, with the exception of partial visible mesh along gutters of endpapers. Boards are clean and square with minor bumping to front head fore edge corner, and sunning to spine. Slipcase is sturdy and in Very Good condition, with minor bumping to head closed-end corner, faint minor soiling to one side, and minor shelf wear. Please see photos for condition detail. L-1157
