Description: MASTA PATENT STANDART (pre-Dunhill/pre-1967)+LONDONER (by Barling)*N.MINT* Pipes Two beautiful straight English pipes : A Canadian by MASTA, made before 1967 (year in which Dunhill took over the company and some years later closed it). And a straight apple with saddle stem by Barling for its sub-brand (2nd) LONDONER, made some time in the 1960s-1970s. Both pipes have big bowls (similar in size to Dunhill's Group 4) and are in near mint condition. The Canadian has approximate length 146 mm (5.75"), bowl height 44 mm (1.73"), chamber depth 39 mm (1.53"), chamber diameter 17 mm (0.67") and weighs 33 gr (1.16 oz). Shank Marks : MASTA, PATENT | STANDARD, MADE IN LONDON, ENGLAND, 132 - Stem Marks : M [on the upper side, partly faded] The apple has approximate length 137 mm (5.39"), bowl height 43 mm (1.69"), chamber depth 35 mm (1.38"), chamber diameter 18 mm (0.71") and weighs 37 gr (1.30 oz). Shank Marks : LONDONER, LONDON ENGLAND, 422, S - Stem Marks : L [on the side] Both pipes do not take filters and have original vulcanite stems. The MASTA has a metallic stinger in its tenon.
