Description: ITEMS: Vintage Monkees Music Box Ge-Tar: GENUINE! This toy was manufactured in 1965, and has a winding music-box function. The plastic casing is identical to the "Tom and Jerry" Ge-Tar, produced at the same time, and the song is unidentifiable to me but I've heard that it's meant to be the Tom and Jerry theme song. I have no idea why Mattel did the boys so dirty lol but it's what happened. The music box is still completely functional, although the winder squeaks a little when you turn it. Two of the four plastic pegs are missing, as are all the strings and the yarn 'shoulder strap.' There are some markings and plenty of scratches on the black plastic casing, but the front sticker still seems to be contact and in pretty good condition. Looking around the internet, it seems that this toy is pretty rare; a New-In-Box listing is currently up for over $800, so I figure this Working-but-Damaged model must be worth a pretty penny in its own right! Tiger Beat Magazine: REAL 1980's REPRINT! Tiger Beat Magazine did a series of Monkees editions back in the 60's, and after the 20-Year-Anniversary special aired, they reprinted this issue with bonus content revisiting the Monkees as they were at the time. It's a fascinating read for any Monkees fan, and perfect for any collection. One page seems to have been incorrectly cut and is dog-eared. Other than that, it appears to be in great condition, and is stored in a protective sleeve. There's another listing for this Reprint pricing it at $31.50 by itself, so it definitely seems to be a nice find, even if not worth a lot by itself. Script autographed by Micky Dolenz: Looks real to me! I don't have any papers authenticating it or anything, but it absolutely looks to be a genuine script of Monkees on the Wheel, with Micky's autograph there on the front. I know he's signed other scripts as well, so I have no reason to doubt the legitimacy of this item. In fact, there's another listing here on Ebay for a signed copy of The Frodis Caper as well, priced at $95 - although that item included additional stage notes and a colored cover, so this one isn't quite as cool lol. Picture autographed by all four Monkees: SCAN!!! It looks as though the autographs themselves were genuine (not forged) but this copy is very obviously just that: a copy. If you look VERY closely, there's some pixelation around the autographs, and the back of the sheet is branded with the hp watermark of common glossy. From a distance and behind a frame, however, it looks perfectly fine. I mainly included it in this listing as a fun bonus; it's not worth anything by itself, but is still nice to have around if you're a fan. I have a vinyl record in a sleeve that I got signed by Micky and Peter personally at a convention around five years ago that I treasure closely, so I don't need a scan anymore lol.
