Sometimes you can see the swirls on the outside as well. This geode was first tumble polished and then was cut in half to form a "bowl" and lid. The rims on each part are polished to show the beautiful patterns in the agate. Except for inside it is 100% polished. As you can see this geode is filled with sparkly druzy quartz crystals of various colors. The geode is very thin and translucent. When held up to the light the lid looks like stained glass. It has a natural flat bottom so it sits well. The geode weighs 3.15 oz. which is 89 g.
