Description: RARE Padden City Glass Needle Acid Etched Bulbous Vase Pilsner Deco Era Antique c. 1930s Up for bid is a RARE find attributed to Padden city Glass c. 1916. Believed to be a study piece. The vase is light weight and has a series of vertical needle etched lines creating a ribbed effect with a horizontal garland spray of leaves around top. The bottom is bulbous flared and has a center garland spray of leaves with a single daisy flower that repeats. The burnishing of the daisy flower is quite extraordinary, an artistic style of shading. The top is a horizontal series of half pearls needle etched with a band of needle etched pearls horizontally near the base. Padden City Glass was formed in 1916, a low production company with high quality glass. This is a very RARE example of some of their first pieces, light weight blown glass piece masterfully cut. There is one imperfection in the cutting, factory possibly in the top edge inside. No chips or cracks, hours of hand work on this piece. Measures 9-3/8” h x 3-1/4” dia at widest point
