NEW USMC Digital Desert Inclement Weather Combat Shirt FROG Small Regular

Description: The USMC Inclement Weather Combat Shirt is flame resistant combat shirt is meant for wear in more temperate temperature conditions were the weather is wet and generally not dry and hot. Overall it is essentially an overbuilt combat shirt for all weather environments, but a little too heavy weight for standard use in hot/desert areas. The shirt has a 1/4 zip collar and a shirt like body, with more rugged sleeves. The sleeves are heavy duty fabric and end in elastic sleeve cuffs. On each shoulder are zippered pockets for small items and there is a loop square for IR tabs or small patches. The shirt body is matching camo and stretch fabric. At the shoulders there is reinforcement material for when worn with kit for long durations and the elbows are reinforced as well. When new these shirts are treated with a water repellent coating that wears off over wash, use and time. Similar DWR coatings can be reapplied. This is a good heavier duty combat shirt for wear in cooler areas, or in nastier wet desert/arid conditions. Features: -Part of the FROG System – Part of the Fire Resistant Organizational Gear used in the USMC. -MARPAT Camouflage – After seeing the effectiveness of the new digital Canadian camo the US Marine Corps set about to create its own. In 2001 the USMC would develop and adopt the MARPAT family of camo patterns. Marine Pattern would have a woodland, desert and winter variation, with miniature USMC EGA symbols “stamped” into the pattern. While the USMC claims the pattern is based off its own research and development the pattern, minus coloration, is extremely similar to the Canadian CADPAT camo that was the inspiration for adopting a digital camo in the first place. With the adoption of MARPAT the USMC would also introduce the MCCU Uniform, replacing the BDU completely. Aside from certain pieces of individual equipment, in service MARPAT is used mainly on combat uniforms and accessories. -Shirt 1/4 Zip closure – This shirt has a 1/4 zip closure which means that it is a pullover that has a zipper that goes about 1/4 of the way down the shirt. -Water Resistant – It can be exposed to water for a short period of time without being damaged or saturated with water. Generally not recommended to submerge Water Resistant items unless item is made for that level of exposure. -Wind Resistant – This is wind resistant which means that it helps break the wind and keep the wearer warmer. Breathable – Breathable means it allows moisture to escape to help keep the wear dry even when sweating.
