Stamp is from the the Royal Family issue of 1897-1901, engraved, no watermark, perf. 12.0x12.0. Printed by the American Bank Note Company of New York, on relatively heavy weight, white wove paper with horizontal mesh, white (almost colorless) gum. This very popular issue includes some of the finest engraved stamps ever produced, anywhere. Mint, never-hinged original gum. Sound, fault-free example of this iconic early Newfoundland stamp. Stamp shown is a fair representative of the condition and quality of those that are being offered. If the stamp received fails to meet expectations, I will either offer an alternative or refund the purchase price.
