Description: This is a quart of Catalyzed Nitrocellulose Instrument Lacquer. All photos in this ad were done with this lacquerIt is best used with a spray gun A quart will do 2 guitars It will be catalyzed the day of shipping and will have a preferred shelf life of 6 - 8 months although I have used it older, It is recommended for best results to use it within 6 - 8 months. It can be brushed on but it is best to use a sprayer It is thinned with regular Lacquer Thinner It has a flash time ( time between coats) of approx. 2 hours For Guitars, it is best to use a color coat and then 5 to 8 coats of clear over the color. It accepts tints and dyes to make a color coat I have used this product for over 10 years and I will gladly answer any questions by email or phone to help you with any problems. My email and phone number are with the instructions. Because it is catalyzed lacquer, you only need to let it dry 24 hours before wet sanding and polishing. Regular Nitrocellulose sometimes takes a week before being hard enough to polish out your final coat. This is not the case with this product. It is pre-mixed and needs no additional thinning.
