Description: This is an ORIGINAL UNISSUED WW II (44) M-43 FIELD JACKET HOOD FOR M-1943 FIELD JACKET SIZE MEDIUM. The M-43 Field Jacket Hood is made to button on the field jacket (Also may fit other jackets) and is made of the same type of material as the field jacket. It was designed to be worn under the steel helmet for added warmth. On the front there is a draw string, a button and a button hole for securing around the neck. Along the bottom of the hood there are 4 button holes for fastening it to the field jacket. On the inside there are 2 sewn in labels. One label reads Hood, Jacket, Field, M-43, Stock No. 73-H-66817, Pattern Date 6/3/44, SIZE MEDIUM, COAT CORP. OF AMERICA, Dated June 20, 1944 - P.O. 12686, Spec. NO. P.D.Q. 441, Phila. Q.M. Depot. The other label reads HOOD for Jacket, Field M-1943 with wearing instructions. The Original Unissued WW II M-43 Field Jacket Hood For M-1943 Field Jacket Size Medium is in new condition
