Description: There is depicted, a young child with red shoes and white dress emerging from a tall field of wheat, which the child has parted while the butterfly clings to a stalk, and wildflowers cover the ground outside the wheat field. The child smiles brightly and looks directly at the viewer. It is a beautifully colored print thst has been hand-tinted with many colors. The lithograph is framed within the original mahogany wood frame and glass. I believe the paper backing was replaced many decades ago. The print is in very good condition but for some light water-staining on one place near the bottom(please see pics) and the frame has very light, expected wear for a print from the mid 19th century. This is not a very easy original print to find. Underneath the title, Currier & Ives have listed their address as 125 Nassau Street, NY. It is undated. The frame measures: 16 1/2" tall by 12 1/2" wide. The frame is 1 1/2" wide. If you have any questions, please message me; I am always happy to help!
