This piece, oil on board, measures 14” by 18” and is entitled “Evolution of Mankind.” The piece itself is fascinating, featuring 4 different faces, divided by what appears to be symbology depicting music, science and war. The framed piece measures 23” wide by 25” tall, and is in very nice condition! Van Driest is more well-known for his portraits and landscapes, and this piece is a variation on his normal themes.
