Description: This is a very nice example of a First World War era US Army issue M-1905 Springfield bayonet for the M1903 bolt action rifle. Made by Springfield Armory and dated 1907, this has a bright blade, blued handle and undamaged solid wood grips. US marked and serial numbered. The scabbard features a khaki cotton canvas cloth covering, with leather tip and is in excellent condition. Just a little storage soiling, but no damage or wear. Possibly one of the nicest examples of this particular bayonet you are likely to find, outside of a dealer in museum-quality antiques.
