Description: For sale is a pair of matching late 18th / early 19th C German silver teaspoons. The spoons are 5 5/8 inches long and together weigh 24 grams. They have oval bowls with large swaged drops and downturned pointed handles with feathered edges and oval cartouches. They have not been monogrammed. They are marked on the bowl backs with an “S” in a shield on the left and in incised “CE” on the right. Condition on the spoons is fairly good. One has a smoothed-out abrasion on the bowl back. There are a few stubborn spots, minor dings and bends and normal signs of use. A decent pair of old spoons!
