Description: For auction is an unusual piece of art pottery made by the "Paul Revere Pottery Company" which is also SEG or "The Saturday Evening Girls" Pottery Company of Boston, Mass. This form is what I call a "Tapered Swollen Shoulder Vase". The vase is a nice size as it stands 6 7/16" tall and is 3 1/2" in diameter at the shoulder. The mouth or opening of the vessel is 2 1/4" inside diameter and the bottom foot has a diameter of 2 1/4". The vase displays a tapered swollen shoulder form. This was one of S.E.G./Paul Revere Pottery best selling shapes as it was made in several sizes. The vase has a medium blue background glaze that is covered in a thick green with blue gray striations over glaze on one side. I think this resembles a seed pod and thus the name. The over glaze is thick and curdled. This vase is considered a hand thrown piece of Art Pottery. This vase for its size has good weight and feels very solid. This form is a real favorite with the Arts and Crafts aficionados. The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is signed with the impressed die stamp circular Paul Revere on a Horse mark. This is a quality solid piece of art pottery. I'm quite sure the buyer will be extremely pleased with their purchase. This piece was made circa 1926-1930. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
