Description: This amplifier was tested and did play sound. I know I should have not and took a chance by doing this knowing the capacitors need to be changed out. Luckily nothing did happen to the amplifier during this moment. I did not use full tilt power just enough to play decent sound to a sub and then to door speakers at 4 ohms. I check the amplifier in stereo then in bridged. I could not test for slave. I recommend this amp get the capacitors replaced as the are known to leak. ****I am selling this phoenix gold MPS-2500 “ AS IS” and “NON FUNCTIONAL” with “NO WARRANTY” due to the fact I know these are original caps and need to be replaced. If you decide to power it up you are taking the same chance I did. ***** Please look at the photos for condition as this amp is and estimate of 30 plus years old and used. There is one speaker terminal screw missing on the right negative side. There is a screw missing that holds the power terminal down. This is between the gain potentiometer in the negative side of the power. There also a screw missing for the bottom plate cover on this side. The bottom plate cover is there but missing the 6 screws that mount this to the amplifier. In the side plate that shows Phoenix Gold MPS-2500 there are 2 screws missing. 1 for the plate and the other for the bottom plate cover.
