The bottom does not have a perfect polish(80%). This is perfect for your display shelf! The pyramid is cut from a large agate geode. A lot of precision cutting goes into making sure that the item is square and perfect. The next step after cutting is sanding, followed by polishing to a glassy-smooth surface. Agate is a variety of quartz. Agates are found all over the world, but Brazil is the main source of most of the agate geodes. The pyramid is 2 1/2 inches square at the base and about 2 inches tall.
