Description: RARE and SELDOM SEEN : Official Award Medal from WGN for contributions around toward the 1964 New York World's Fair struck in bronze by Medallic Art Co. of New York measuring approximately 4" x 3" (as seen) of the iconic Victor D. Brenner Plaque of President Abraham Lincoln created originally in 1907 (and also used as the design for the new Lincoln US Cent in 1909 in celebration of his 100th Birthday and still being struck by the US Mint to this very day ). Plaque is quite nice with slight darkened patina to very lower right obverse corner (all as seen). This particular version of the iconic Brenner / Lincoln artwork plaque rarely shows up for sale. The dies were created by Medallic Art Co. in 1964 working off the original design in 1907. A very nice and quite rare piece of US History and desired by Presidential medal collectors, US Lincoln cent coin collectors, Lincolnian collectors alike.
