This is a very rare, large and impressive creamware charger with a raised red feather edge design on the rim. Many dealers and collectors might call this a Leeds charger. But these feather edge plates were made by many English maker's of this early period. This one is marked with an impressed mark that is well struck, that reads, "NEALE & CO.". This mark can be found in Geofrey Gooden's "ENCYCLOPEDIA OF BRITISH POTTERY & PORCELAIN MARKS", page 461, mark #2845.
