Description: *RARE* c1926 "IN THE ISLES OF THE FAR NORTH" RELIGIOUS ILLUSTRATED BOOK (P4)Great *RARE* vintage hardback book on Christian religion's entry into Greenland, Iceland, Lapland and Labrador with a look at the natives, their homes and their habits. Contains photos throughout. Published in Kilmarnock (Scotland). No publication date but photo 15 shows a vintage presentation label from 1926 on the inside cover. Photo 16 shows exposed webbing on the inside cover crease and photo 17 shows a gap between pages and the cover spine but cover attached fine due to endpapers but binding feels a bit wobbly. Some pages have little smudges but other pages inside are in nice condition especially as the book is 97 years old.
