Rare Hoya Sigillatis ‘Narrow Leaf’ - Exact Plant 4” Hanging Pot

Description: This Hoya can be a bit on the difficult side (I find that she thrives on slight neglect and more filtered light than a typical hoya. I find this to be a much *easier* Hoya than the ‘newer’ sigillatis that has popped up recently, but they can both be a bit finicky. Probably not the best for a new plant owner. Which sigillatis is it?! In the past year or so a “newer” sigillatis has hit stores, advertised as “boreno” or “silver” or “AH001” it is wider, thicker and bigger than the traditional sigillatis that is listed here. As you can see, this plant has plenty of silver splashing, all sigillatis originate in Borneo, and while AH001 might be the most accurate description of the new hoya it is a cultivar name and can only come with that name if it comes directly from AH Hoya in Thailand. (They didn’t, they come from a mass producing big nursery) So I don’t know what to call them officially or how to refer to this wonderful plant that has been around for many many years and was just known as sigillatis, which is from Borneo and has silver splash, so for the sake of differentiating we will call this one ‘narrow leaf’ because, well that’s an accurate description. Wow what a mouthful, I’ll hop off the soap box now, thanks for listening. This Sigillatis has really thin, stiff green leaves with a ton of splashing on them. Under the right conditions this plant will produce clusters of orange flowers! This is a really unique hoya, and it will grow to sunstress a beautiful reddish colors in (still filtered) bright light.
