Description: Very rare Allis-Chalmers gas turbine brochure. It appears to be part of a series that they published in the early 1940's. From some limited research, Allis-Chalmers was at the forefront of putting their gas turbine into locomotives. They would have been a number of years ahead of General Electric and actually produced an Engineering drawing as I've shown in one of my photos. Note that the locomotive somewhat resembles the Burlington Zephyr as opposed to a then current Streamliner E or F unit. Condition is very close to a 9 and would be perfect if not for the light crease on the back cover. All black and white photos, no color. 24 pages. Will ship USPS.
