RARE Vintage Hershey's Chocolate Kisses Candy Box Late Mid Century Space Age

Description: This undated Hershey's Milk Chocolate Kisses box is unusual and hard to find. It features a squadron of galactic Hershey's kisses spinning through the cosmos like spaceships. The distinctive Hershey's milk chocolate bar logo boldly fronts the cover. It measures 9 1/8" L x 5 7/8" W x 2 1/8" H and has a waxed lining. It was constructed to hold 2 lbs and 8 oz of chocolate kisses. The bottom of the box declares: "IMPORTANT - THE CHOCOLATE in this carton was in perfect condition when it left our factory. The goods should not be exposed to dampness, extreme heat or placed near drugs, oils, tobacco or anything from which the CHOCOLATE would absorb the odor. Do not sell any of our goods which are not in perfect condition. Give us complete information of such circumstances." The Details: The graphics are vibrant and clear. The leading space kiss, on the cover, has a nick through it revealing the cardboard. The bottom box has Hershey's milk chocolate kisses banners along its length with the ingredients listed. The space themed cover and the filigree graphics on the bottom box correlates with advertising and design trends from the 1960s. The box itself is sturdy but has flaws. Both the top and bottom lids are dented and concave. There are creases, minor tears, wear and discoloration. The wax lining is intact with some separation where the box damage is. Despite its flaws, overall, this extremely rare box is in good condition, displays well and is prime for a proper restoration. Kisses not included. Please look carefully at the pictures.
