Description: This folky cotton signature quilt is all hand embroidered and hand quilted, made by Chris Berwalde of Columbus, Ohio. Among the many embroidered names are: Carrington T. Marshall - Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court; George White - Governor of Ohio; H.H. Williams - City Health Officer; P.E. Thomas - Warden of the Ohio Penitentiary; Columbus, OH; Harry T. - Franklin County Sheriff; A.E. Nice - Chief of Columbus Fire Department; H.E. French - Columbus Chief of Police; A. Leach - Judge of the Common Pleas Court; and --?-- Thomas, Mayor of Columbus.It measures 66" X 80" and is very good condition, with surface dirt and staining in places, and no wear. The back is the same creamy white used on the front, teh machine stitched binding is dusty rose pink, and there is no batting (summer weight). The DENSE EMBROIDERY and GOOD CONDITION make this vintage collector's quilt stand out -- a PIECE OF OHIO HISTORY!
