Description: The RB N54 PCV Valve is the original valve introduced to the N54 market in 2010. We were the first to realize this component was serviceable, needed periodic attention, and was a certain replacement need for the performance market. Since then there have been some cheap copies or custom CNC'd offerings which are far from the quality of the OE core valve that is utilized in this component. The result of an under-designed core is a valve that will not last the test of time (assuming it functions properly to begin with), which means it wear quicker and need tighter maintenance interval replacements, and always leave you wondering the state of its functionality. The RB Valve is an upgraded Authentic replacement PCV valve that you can count on for many years to come and has already been well proven over a decade as the "go-to" N54 Engine PCV replacement. Our RB PCV valve is strongly recommended for your high performance (or higher mileage) N54. Accept no substitutes or pay the price later. The OEM plastic PCV valve does not hold pressure well even when brand new. What the leaky PCV valve means is that when you are in boosted conditions, the "highly" pressurized PCV valve leaks turbocharged pressures into the crankcase. Pending on the condition of your PCV valve it could leak worse than others. Also if for some reason your valve cover is cracked, loose, or has a bad gasket; you also could develop a pressure leak either external to the engine or internal into the crankcase causing further pressurization of the crankcase or other oil loss issues. Notes: 1) The solution will only fix the OEM PCV valve itself and not a leaky valve cover gasket, which is also a very common problem on the N54 Engine. We do recommend if EVER pulling off the valve cover to always replace the OEM gasket with a new one.2) The RB PCV Valve solution will not negate the Pro's of Oil Catch Cans, but could reduce what they otherwise collect. It also could be reasoned that those who catch a TON of oil have a less "healthy" internal valve cover PCV valve or PCV systems, or alternatively engines that produce excess blowby.3) The RB PCV uses only Genuine OEM core PCV Valves offering the absolute best performance and quality. There are none available (nor will there ever be) that beat the performance of this valve.4) We also offer a RB PCV Screw-On Cap, which is not required unless you break your original cap while servicing.
