Description: Interesting relic recovered from a New York cavalry campsite near Fredericksburg, Virginia. Ruler is complete. Made up of four hinged sections. Each section of wood ruler with brass top and bottom edges and brass hinges connecting them all together. Each section is 6" long allowing for the extended ruler to be 24". The various increments of inch markings remain visible on the wood. Small worm or ant hole bored into the wood in a few spots. Three of the four sections remain connected. The fourth section is broken at the hinge. You do not see very many wood relics for obvious reasons.
