A masterpiece by Sakai Zokei who challenged G1 Gamera The first work of the Heisei Gamera trilogy, ``Gamera: Great Monster Aerial Battle'' (1995), was produced by the talent that was also in the lineage of " Shin Godzilla.'' It opened a new horizon for special effects monster movies, and became a work that had a great influence on the special effects scene that followed. Yuji Sakai took on the challenge of creating the prototype of the so-called G1 Gamera that appeared in this work. This is a monumental work in which the leading Godzilla sculptor created a mela model for the first time. The motif is the main "close-up" suit out of the two costumes used in the photo shoot. The Sakai-bushi arrangement, which makes the head slightly smaller than the actual suit, has been added, creating a Gamera with the theme of "loyal and cool." This product is called a Resin cast kit, and is a model kit that accurately and realistically transforms the image of the original into three-dimensional.
