Description: These are the old standard in the string industry, created by Elgard Ungh in Stockholm-Sweden. This shoulder rest will fit a TRADTIONAL viola. This is a #1, which is a low profile. Adjustments for the larger size viola (larger than 15") are done by moving the slide bar under the shoulder rest. A phillips head screwdriver is necessary to partially loosen the screw on top, which will release the nut (underneath) , and then you adjust the sliding metal bar to the proper length. Then tighten the screw.
