Not recommended for 100% polyester, acrylic, acetate, fiberglass or metallic fibers, or fabrics with special finishes, rubber backing, washable only in cold water or labelled Dry Clean Only.Use Rit Color Remover to lighten the original fabric color as much as possible before dyeing to a lighter or different colourDouble the amount of dye for bright or dark colors. Add 1 cup salt for cotton, 1 cup vinegar for nylon, silk and wool. NB:- I know this sounds silly to most people having to state this. Please remember, if using this color dye on an already pre-cultured fabric, the resultant color will be a mix of those colors. (ie using blue dye on red fabric will NOT result in blue fabric). I state this as we have had a complaint from a customer who attempted to dye dark blue jeans red, and complained that they turned out purple!!). Please ALWAYS use a color remover on pre cultured fabrics first.
