Description: ANTIQUE!!!! RS Prussia ~St.Kilian Germany Oscar Schleglemilch" Burgundy BOUCHER Portrait Bowl 10.5. Antique bowl marked OS St. Kilian Germany. It was made by the Oscar Schlegelmilch factory, part of the RS Prussia family of porcelain makers. T is a signature, "F. Boucher," at the bottom of the scene but the scene appears to be a transfer printing of a painting by the famous painter Boucher, with handpainted details. The scene is surrounded by a lavishly decorated flange, which has a burgundy lusterware finish and gold stenciling and handpainting both. In short, this bowl is a beauty! It measures 10in diameter and is in a nice condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some ware to the burgundy color as well as gilding due to age. The mark on the back reads, "OLS St. Kilian Germany". I believe it comes from a victorian era which would be late 1800's. It is a great piece to add to your antique portrait plate collection!
