Description: Description from Samick (the manufacturer): Breaking with tradition can be a difficult task, especially in the guitar business. There are certain things that you just don’t change. With all this in mind, we forged ahead anyway. The band of turquoise dyed maple herringbone: the combination of traditional maple with the turquoise is just plain beautiful. On the performance side, we used a quarter sawn, solid cedar top for a more delicate low mid sound, and fitted it with scalloped top braces. The bracing frees up the top for faster attack and longer sustain. The sides and back are highly figured Ovangkol, for a full, rich bass response with lots of power. I have owned the guitar since new. It has had moderate use as I used it for church programs and accompaniment. Condition-wise, the back, neck, and sides are flawless, the top has a couple of tiny dimples (which I tried to show in the photos) and the lacquer has a small crack in the lower right corner of the top. No wood issues or cracks. Includes 3 sets of new GHS Acoustics SET LJ40M 013 strings.Has built in Fishman Tuner and 1/4" output jack.Rare D15E model. I've rarely seen any of these listed anywhere online for sale. Similar to the D8 model, and if you search eBay, these are listed for $500+
