SEIKO 7A48 - 7009 moon phase, excellent condition, all functions, owned from new

Description: BETTER PHOTOS ADDED! For sale is my SEIKO 7A48 - 7009 chronometer watch, with moon phase as shown in the photos. The serial number dates this watch to May 1984, and I bought it later that year in the Channel Islands. The watch was worn every day until about 2005. It was serviced and the stop watch grommets were replaced in 2010, but it hasn't been worn much since. It keeps perfect time and the date and moon phase change correctly. The stop watch pushers work with a satisfying feel and the 3 hands all zero as they should, as shown in the photos. The photos were taken with the crown pulled out which is why the second hand is stopped. The dial is in remarkable condition, there are no visible marks, discolouration or signs of wear on the white dial, the lens is also unmarked and clear. The gold finish on the case, band and pushers is all in excellent condition, and there are only minor visible marks on the case and the band with slight marking on the case back and the clasp. All entirely consistent with having been worn. The case measures 38mm and the lens 34mm, there is adjustment in the clasp to expand or contract the band. I will include 2 spare links allowing for further adjustment. The watch would NOT be waterproof and should not be immersed in water. The owner's manual and original case were lost years ago, but it will come with a period SEIKO presentation box, and the manual can be downloaded from the internet if required.
